You’re right, and they should be impatient. I’m not young anymore and I’m still impatient. My biggest passion is human (and all) potential. When I see people suffer needlessly, because some humans think it is acceptable to inflict harm on others, I can’t stop thinking about all that human potential we’re losing. Humans suffer psychologically when we’re forced into bare survival, not just because it is uncomfortable and terrifying, but also because when we’re fighting for our very existence we use time and resources that we should use for development. I know we can do so much better than we currently do. 🙏

Dr. Pape was superb. I hope he is right that young people will see the injustices and make no excuses (my words). I think they will and it will be a tough road.

Thanks Peter and I agree. If anyone can make informed predictions, it’s Ilan. But he also warns us that when settler-colonial regimes begin to collapse they are also at their most dangerous. I think there is a good chance that this is what we are seeing. Collapse can take a long time though, time the Palestinians do not have.

Yes. There is not much time at all and it sad and infuriating that so many are out of time. Young people can be pretty impatient though for real change.
